Suitably wined and dined, Rotarians and their friends were well
entertained by David and Christine Robbins.
Christine created a spooky Halloween atmosphere as she rendered her tale
of dark and dastardly deeds, superstition, the mesmerising ‘Hand of
Glory’ and a brave servant lass who foiled the plotters and saved the
17th century Inn and its occupants from robbery and murder.
David’s contribution was altogether more light-hearted as he traced the
history of folklore surrounding Halloween, weaving in Pagans &
Christians in an amusing concoction.
